Mitchells in Granite Falls

The sea is calm tonight,
The tide is full, the moon lies fair
Upon the straits; on the French coast the light

Starting mid April through late September you will hear a noise going up and down the streets of Granite Falls.

Well this year we have been blessed with the bounty from our garden.  We still have some more to take care of before frost comes (potatoes, cantaloupe, okra, brussel sprouts and tomatoes).

We also have an abundance of apples:  apple crisp, pie, applesauce, caramel apple jam and canned apple pie filling.

Also the grapes are getting ready for picking.

Todd, Antonio and John (Antonio’s half brother) put a fire pit in our back yard.  Come for a visit and enjoy a fire  with us.

My Mum and Dad came for a visit on the 25th of June.  They brought one of there friends with them, along with all the fixings for lunch.    She is 81 and does her own mowing and yard work.  I hope that I can be able to do that at that age. We also brought them downtown to see the Pelicans, by the Dam.

It was a great visit!

I went with Todd to the Cities on the 22nd of June.  While he was in meetings, I had a chance to visit and have lunch with a friend from work.  It was great seeing Amy and her 2 girls, Emma and Allison.
