Along with all of the moving and getting the house ready, we had put our cat “Checker” to sleep this past Monday. We have had this sweet cat for 14 years (he was 18). Checker was primarily Jenn’s cat, from the first day we got him. She would push him around in one of those umbrella strollers when she was a little girl. He was always purring for anyone that would hold him or pay attention to him.
The picture above is of him playing in some of the paper that was in one of the multiple boxes that we have unpacked. He was always checking things out, and that is how he got his name.
He will be sadly missed.

I am so sorry–poor Chessie too.
Comment by dandelionmom September 11, 2008 @ 1:24 pmI remember when Seth and I came to your house in the cities and Checker jumped up on my lap. Usually I’m not a big animal person, but Checker behaved so nicely. It must have been a fun 14 years.
